Sigh

Long day, done with the chemistry test but finals still loom over my head. Plus I'm in the middle of writing this english essay and we have that history project she gave us today. I also need a job if anyone hears of anything for me let me know. Anyway tomorrow is friday which means a chill day at school. I'm heading up to Wyckoff, NJ to visit my G-POP though this whole weekend which has its ups and downs. But my fascination of the week is definitely Tiffin. An Indian restuarante at 7th and Girard or Mt. Airy (Pictures coming) It was amazing the food was incredible. I had a great time. But love to all my best friends reading this out there.

Today

Today was an awful day. Rule 76: No excuses play like a champion. But Once I got home all was well. I relaxed and watched those fightin phils put up no fight against the mets tonight. I can say that my boy Johan Santana who is on my fantasy team was dealing. So if we had to lose, it would be against him. Other than that not much going on. A little thought to live your life through. Brought to us by Acts Verse 1:8- "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Haitus/Keri Hilson

I haven't been on here in a minute. Apologies and love all around. Anyway trip to Kentucky was fabulous. I guess I'll post some pictures. But today, Keri Hilson. Knock You Down feat. Kanye West and Ne-Yo (Ne-Yo isn't bad in the song) is my song! Check it out. The video is kinda eh but the song is bangin and Kanye looks great as always. He has the black and pink Yeezys which I want so badly. Anyone have 700 bucks I could borrow?

I'm going to Kentucky for a week. We're leaving Sunday morning. I'm pretty excited. I've been asking my dad to take me to Kentucky to see some of the famous barns like Three Chimneys and Lane's End where some of my favorite horses ever are standing. I don't know which ones specifically we are going to but I know we are going to Darley Stud. It's actually owned by Sheikh Mohammad of Saudi Arabia. He throws millions of dollars around to get any horse, trainer or barn he can, he has no shortage of cash. Here's the website. http://www.darley.co.uk/Homepage/US

Also, at Darley, my favorite horse ever stands, his name is Hard Spun. While in Kentucky we are going to Keeneland Racecourse for two days including one day of Grade 1 racing and the other with a Grade 2. So it will be a horse filled week in the Woods family.
Quote of the day: "Breeding a champion racehorse is a challenge and succeeding is greatly to be admired." -Sheikh Mohammed

That's a ballin little image or whatever.

Anyway to the real post. New fascination: Charles Hamilton. A rapper born in Cleveland. He loves good music and he makes good music. I only have a mixtape that he did but its really good. It's called DJ Skee presents Death of a Mixtape Rapper. He remixes a bunch of songs or rather just raps over their beats. Like he raps over A Milli (I know everyone does that but it's good), God Gave Me Style (50 Cent), and even Hip Hop Saved My Life (Lupe Fiasco), among others. It all just really sounds good.

Other fascination of the week: Chiddy Bang/Flight School. Chiddy Bang is a group with some guys from Drexel shout out Noah Beresin! It all flows so nicely and is well produced. All the beats just go with the music perfectly. Flight School is a song by GLC who is on Kanye's record label GOOD Music. It features Kanye and T-Pain, and its really good.

He's so real. He means so much to me. I think when Kane says he changed, he progressed from the College Dropout to 808's, he's right. You hear rappers like 50 cent, Tupac, these rappers sound the same on album one through their last music. Kanye changed from soul hip hop to soul singing with melody, but it still sounds amazing. When he goes back to soul hip hop everyone will be ready and it will sound great. He can do whatever he wants. People say "oh, I don't like Kanye's arrogance, I don't like the way he carries himself." And to that I say, you don't have to like the musician to like his music. But think of all the A-holes Kane has been through and surpassed in his career, and look where he is and look where they are. He doesn't put on a facade, he is who he is. He's helped change hip hop from rapping only about guns, rims, money, and prostitution. He wears a freakin bow tie on stage. How can I not love Kane?

Mitch Hedberg is a ugly dude. But forreal, he's funny. I'll link one of his routines. I've heard the jokes tons of times yet they remain funny. He actually overdosed on heroin and died like 5 years ago, but he's cool. He's funny. Here's a link to one of his shows.
